Competition in the world of luxury car sales has always been intense. In order for Hyundai Motor Company’s new stand-alone luxury brand, Genesis, to showcase its next revolution in the Australian marketplace, an existing tenancy in Sydney’s Pitt Street Mall was transformed into a high-end studio that sets a new industry benchmark in customer experience.
The works were commissioned as part of Genesis’ re-launch campaign to market Genesis as a completely new and unconventional approach to selling cars. The studio was developed in line with this strategic initiative and required close attention to the needs of multiple teams and stakeholders as well as parallel priorities within the Genesis organisation.
As specialists in property development and fit-out projects, Impact Group was selected to mobilise value by ensuring delivery of extremely high-quality works, to a tight budget and very tight timeframes.
At the time of our engagement, we set about establishing realistic completion dates and ensuring the client was properly and consistently informed regarding progress. Any delays were advised and resolutions to overcome these delays were discussed and agreed. All completion dates have been met, and any challenges were overcome through open communication with all stakeholders and contractors, and constant reviews of the programme.
The contractor, Graphite Projects, delivered outstanding collaboration. It was a true testament to the value of great working relationships and a commitment to meeting and exceeding client expectations. Such was the high level of service delivery, we would work with Graphite Projects again, without hesitation. The project was well supported by the architect, Stanton Dahl Architects.
The project represents Genesis’ first stand-alone and flagship showroom in Australia. Vast curved spaces, interwoven with high end finishes and the highest quality lighting combine to uplift this beautiful range. The studio also boasts a 5-metre diameter x 11-metre high LED screen surrounding the internal circular stairs. Cars will remain in the showroom at all times, with test drives to be provided off site.
