Over the past few weeks, Impact Group has transitioned fully to Work-From-Home arrangements for all staff. Having spoken to all of our clients immediately following the outbreak of the COVID-19 Pandemic, we knew how important it was to ensure a seamless transition from our head office in North Sydney to our individual homes in order to minimise disruption to our projects. We successfully achieved our objective.
I have always regarded our key point-of-difference as Development Managers and Project Managers to be the collaborative nature of our service. Our open-plan office environment and general processes provided every staff member the opportunity to contribute to any and all the live projects in the company’s portfolio. Irrespective if they were specifically assigned to that project. The information share was tremendous and set us apart from our competitors. Being separated feels a little strange.
We have also always enjoyed meeting face-to-face with our clients, consultants and contractors to set the foundation for our projects, create opportunities, resolve issues and drive our projects forward. However, we have now moved to utilising Microsoft Teams (or Zoom if you prefer) for our Video meetings. In-person meetings can occur if necessary, as long as they are under strict social-distancing procedures.
We are 100% ‘BUSINESS-AS-USUAL’ and looking forward to continuing the great relationships that we have developed with all our clients, consultants and contractors.
